Little Kids Rock Releases Interactive Music Education Video -- Start to Rock: Guitar

Proceeds from the sale of the $25 CD-ROM will benefit Little Kids Rock music education programming across the U.S.

January 18, 2007 – Anaheim (NAMM Show, Booth #2004 in Lobby D) - Little Kids Rock (LKR), an innovative non-profit program that provides free instruments and instruction for public school students today announced the release of its first interactive, instructional CD-ROM, Start to Rock: Guitar. Made in partnership with TrueFire.com, the CD-ROM captures the highly effective Little Kids Rock methodology used in classrooms across the U.S. Proceeds from the sale of this product support Little Kids Rock’s programs. The $25 CD is now available at www.littlekidsrock.org. Little Kids Rock will also provide this new CD-ROM free of charge to thousands of students nationwide.

Dave Wish, an accomplished musician and the executive director of Little Kids Rock, developed the Little Kids Rock curriculum and is the featured instructor on Start to Rock: Guitar. The course covers chords, rhythms, various styles and even some blazing lead guitar. No boring exercises. No tedious theory. No out-of-date music. Students dig right in making contemporary music that they can easily relate to.

Start to Rock: Guitar is optimized for beginner players and is presented on CD-ROM (Windows and Mac compatible), features 20 full-length video lessons, text overviews and practice tracks. The video lesson player features zoom, frame advance, looping and other instructional functions.
