The LKR booth #2002 is located on Level 2, outside of Hall D.

From virtuoso solo guitar to performances of her original music with orchestra, Favored Nations recording artist Mimi Fox truly does it all. She has performed with fellow guitarists Charlie Byrd and Charlie Hunter, as well as with Grammy award winner David Sanchez, saxophonist Don Lanphere, Manhattan Transfer's Janis Siegel, German Hammond B3 organ phenomenon Barbara Dennerlien, and bass virtuoso Harvie S, among many others. She has shared the bill with a wide array of artists including Diana Krall, Stevie Wonder, Kenny Burrell, and John Sebastian, and has been guest soloist with several orchestras, including Orchestra Sonoma, performing her original scores. Fox has composed music for theater and film, and has been featured on numerous television shows such as BET on Jazz.

Kicks quickly rose to fifth place on jazz radio charts and number 20 on Billboard jazz charts. Allaboutjazz.com awarded Kicks four stars out of four and raved, "This is a strongly melodic collection, and one that swings out stylishly...Mimi Fox is a major talent...strongly recommended."

Mimi Fox is the latest name on LKR's growing list of high profile supporters. Carlos Santana's Milagro Foundation has purchased more than $10,000 worth of instruments for the program. Bob Weir and members of the Grateful Dead have funded classes. The String Cheese Incident has held silent auctions for the organization. John Lee Hooker was a founding Board Member and visited classes before his passing.

About Little Kids Rock
Little Kids Rock believes that music is a critical component of first-rate education. Many elementary schools have been stripped of their music programs. These cuts have had a disproportionately large impact on children from low-income backgrounds. Little Kids Rock restores music to its rightful place in the academic lives of kids in our public schools by providing a rich music education program including instrument instruction, free instruments and trained mentors. Founded by a single elementary school teacher in 1996, Little Kids Rock is now serving 2,000 students in CA, NY, NJ and TN. More information can be found at: www.littlekidsrock.org
